 Where to Stay in London

CHOOSING which place to stay in London depends entirely on the nature of your visit here. If you’re here as part of a conference sponsored by the company you’re working for, then you will be obviously staying at a four-star or a three-star hotel. If you’re an executive of a company, you may be staying at a five-star hotel. But if you’re on your own as a vacationer or with someone on a honeymoon, then you may be staying either in a two-star or a four-star hotel.

If you’re on your own and you’ve got an errand to do, you may as well settle down in a motel, inn or apartment. An apartment is preferable as the interiors look more like a home plus you’ve got your own kitchen where you can barbecue or sauté. Three-star hotel rooms have the basic accommodation of cable television, DVD player, high-speed Internet connection and mini-bar.

Transportation to any London neighborhood is definitely not a problem as there are many tube stations now especially if you’re staying near the center of London. But as the place you’re staying is closer to London’s center, the suite rates become higher at 50 pounds. Whether you’re staying near London’s center or farther out doesn’t matter as there is no significant savings of your expenses. It’s because the rate of the tube or the taxi gets higher and higher if you stay farther from London’s center. Now here’s an insider tip for you – a two-star hotel or hostel in London can even have nicer qualities than a four-star one so you may want to check them out. As the number of stars in a hotel goes high, the suite rates are definitely high too so by billeting yourself in a two-star hotel room, you can definitely save this way. In accordance with the appropriate accrediting group like the European Union, the number of stars in a hotel only indicates the number of its amenities like the number of lifts, function rooms, restaurants, spas and golfing ranges.

The quality of a hostel can immediately be deduced by the quality of its website. All you need to do is conduct a search on your Internet browser for any London hostel. Do this ahead of your flight and make reservations over the phone. Otherwise, you will just be surprised that even hostels in London are fully booked anytime of the year. London is not like Spain where tourists only frequent during summer so even though the temperature is -3 degrees Celsius, there are always tourists and international conferences lurking in London. Here’s the catch though – hostels tend to cater only to younger people on road trips all over England and they do impose an age range of up to 35 years old only. You cannot deceive your age unless you’re carrying with you a forged passport which is required for all foreign visitors in the hostel. Hostels usually offer rooms by packs so a 12-bed suite can be had for 19 pounds per person.

About

Welcome to LondonAccomodation.biz, your partner in making the most of your stay in one of Europe's grandest cities!

There is so much to see and do in London. Who hasn’t heard of London theatre (after all, this city was home to the great William Shakespeare, and the proud West End!)? Who wouldn’t enjoy exploring the palaces and the parks? Who wouldn’t be amazed by the beautiful museums and the shopping malls?

London has the rare combination of historical charm and edgy modern glamour. It is not uncommon for tourists to spend one day looking at centuries-old paintings, and then spend the rest of the evening (and early morning) partying in a bar across the street.
